Weekly MCU Review for June 17

Another week, and more MCU news!  Not too much excitement this week, but Spider-Man: Homecoming is only a few weeks away!  Put some ketchup on your eggs, and catch-up on your Marvel news!

Mostly MCU Reviews

My articles from the week

Two reviews this week, the first was for Wonder Woman, which was definitely an improvement over Batman v. Superman: Bloat of Justice!

The second review was the next in my series on non-MCU movies about MCU characters (the Spider-Man movies, the Daredevil movies, Ghost Riders, Punishers…)  I think this one might be the last truly good movie of the lot… Anyways, here’s Spider-Man 2.

Here is a timetable for filming for Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Avengers 4.  Ant-Man and the Wasp and Avengers 4 both start filming in July; Captain Marvel begins shooting in January.

Chris Evans has extended his Marvel contract to include Avengers 4.

Apparently James Gunn is considering a minor tweak to the continuity established in Guardians of the Galaxy for Vol. 3.  Thoughts?

Not overly surprising, but Tom Holland confirmed that there will be a Spider-Man trilogy in the MCU.

Inhumans season 1 wrapped filming in Hawaii.  Hopefully this means they will have more information and an extended trailer soon?

News from Around Geekdom

Anything not related to the MCU that I find interesting

This is unsurprising but definitely disappointing:  Venom is officially not in the MCU.

Marvel is introducing an ancient team of Avengers, with ancient versions of Black Panther, Phoenix, Ghost Rider, and Star Brand, as well as Odin and Agamotto.
