This is going under “MCU News” because there’s still so much we don’t know about it (and it’s not confirmed that this doesn’t fall into the “MCU News” category…).  Apparently, Sony isn’t content with just a Venom movie; they are also looking to start production on a Silver Sable/Black Cat movie this year.  That sounds pretty awesome… until you read the other news that supposedly these spinoff movies aren’t going to be part of the MCU.  Not only are they not part of the MCU, but Kevin Feige isn’t involved—the last time Sony tried this was The Amazing Spider-Man 2!  Why does Sony keep insisting on burning money on the altar of “Doing Their Own Spider-Man Thing”?  Set this movie in the MCU, bring in Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and turn it into a world-hopping spy thriller thing.  Boom, done, bank.  I will publish something later today to talk about this more, but I’ve already talked about Spider-Man spinoffs and Sony stupidity.

The Defenders has finished filming.

Anything not related to the MCU that I find interesting

There are some new trailers out for Justice League, but I haven't watched them yet.  That's about it.
