The Gifted Series Premiere, "eXposed" EXPECTATIONS

FOX’s new Marvel series The Gifted makes its TV premiere tonight.  What are we expecting from this show?

Episode Synopsis for “eXposed”:

Two ordinary parents take their family on the run from the government when they discover that their children have mutant abilities, and join an underground community of mutants who have to fight to survive.

What I am looking for tonight:

• Good effects for all the mutant abilities
• Introductions to the main characters, including both their personalities and their abilities
• Considering that this is Matt Nix, I expect a lot of cinematography reminiscent of a comic book (c.f. Burn Notice)
• Explanations for the absence of the X-Men from this continuity

What would be awesome but probably won’t happen:

Clark Gregg walks across the set in a business suit.  Nothing else happens, but everyone starts speculating on the connection between The Gifted and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
