I’ve been thinking for a while that I should publish something on Tuesdays before Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but I wasn’t sure what to do.  So here’s the idea I’m going to go with—at least for now.  What am I looking for in tonight’s episode?

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns tonight with "Love in the Time of Hydra" (2x14) at 9:00 PM Eastern/Pacific.  What do we expect from tonight's episode?

What happened in the last episode, “One of Us”? (SPOILERS)
Cal assembled a super-team to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D.  Coulson and May brought in a psychiatrist to see Skye.  Coulson, May, and Morse took on the super-team in Coulson’s hometown and defeated them.  Skye lost control, suppressed her powers, and turned them on her own body.  Cal was whisked away by Gordon—someone will be judging Cal and determining what to do to him?  Meanwhile, Mack delivered Hunter to his (and Bobbi’s) real bosses:  The “Real S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Episode Synopsis for “Love in the Time of Hydra”:
Coulson and his team are still reeling from a shocking revelation that leaves the team fractured as they must decide what to do with one of their own. Meanwhile, Bobbi and Mack reveal their true allegiance to Hunter, while elsewhere, Ward and Agent 33 embark on a personal mission.

Continuing plot points:
  • Skye adjusting to her newfound powers
  • The Inhumans
  • The “Real S.H.I.E.L.D.”/Bobbi and Mack’s true allegiances
  • The impending tie-in between Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Avengers: Age of Ultron

What I am looking for tonight:
  • Background on the “Real S.H.I.E.L.D.”
  • Skye coming to an understanding regarding her powers—perhaps deciding that she needs to learn to use them
  • What Ward and Agent 33 have been up to since the midseason finale
  • A huge reveal of one of the Inhuman leaders would be awesome

What would be awesome but probably won’t happen:
Right after the teaser clip:

Bruce Banner walks in and says, “You know, I’ve actually made peace with the Hulk.  He’s big and destructive, but he wants to help people, and I'm okay with that.  Hello, Skye.  Your Director said you could use some of my... experience... to help you with your new powers.”

So what are you looking for in tonight’s episode?  What is there that you really want to see but may not see at all?  Let me know in the comments!
