Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. continues tonight with “Farewell,
Cruel World!” (4x20) at 10:00 PM Eastern/Pacific. What do we expect from
tonight's episode?
What happened in the last episode,
“All the Madame’s Men”?
Daisy escaped from Hydra with
help from May (and the timely intervention of Terrigen) and reconnected with
S.H.I.E.L.D. Coulson, Simmons, and Daisy
agreed that they need to “save” the people of the Framework before they can
escape the Framework. Consequently, they
released May’s body-cam footage of Mace’s death to the public to show him as
the hero that he was. They also
discovered that “Project Looking Glass” uses Darkhold technology to
create a living body.
Episode Synopsis for “Farewell,
Cruel World!”:
The clock is ticking for Daisy and Simmons to get the team out of the Framework, but not everyone is ready and willing to leave
Continuing plot points:
- So how did the Framework get to be so messed up (other than the Butterfly Effect)?
- Daisy/Skye and Simmons need to escape from the Framework
- How will the characters’ experiences within the Framework affect them outside the Framework?
- What are the Agents doing outside the Framework?
What I am looking for tonight:
- I am not expecting AoS to in any way set up Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, nor do I expect Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to influence next week’s AoS in any way.
- The team will make it out of the Framework by the end of the episode
- I expect Mack to be the most hesitant to leave, but that Hope will tell him he has to go
- I think AIDA will make a new body this episode or next
- Fitz will not leave the Framework in this episode
What would be awesome but probably
won’t happen:
I would love to see a surprise
appearance by 1 or more of the agents outside the Framework coming into the
Framework to help the team escape. Maybe.
Maybe Framework-Yo-Yo shows up, at the least.
So what are you looking for in
tonight’s episode? What is there that
you really want to see but may not see at all?
