My articles from the week
For the last time this season,
here are my expectations
and review
for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. What did
you think of this season as a whole?
Here
is my explanation/description of the five post-credits scenes for Guardians
of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as well as what they may mean going forward.

Here
is an updated synopsis for Black Panther:
“After the events of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader. However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.”
Here
is the updated synopsis for Avengers: Infinity War:
“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.”
So apparently Inhumans
will air on Friday nights, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is getting moved
to Fridays as well, with a midseason debut—but
it is evidently receiving a full 22-episode order. Huh.
That’s… unexpected. I'll talk a little in a few weeks about what that might mean for next season.
Here
are some interview thoughts on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 5.
Madame Gao as been revealed
to appear in The Defenders. No real surprise there.
According to Mike Colter,
he starts filming Luke Cage season 2 next month, and he’s hoping for an
early-2018 release.
News from Around Geekdom
Anything not related to the MCU
that I find interesting
So… Venom is still happening. Tom Hardy will star as Eddie Brock, Ruben
Fleischer (Zombieland) will direct, and it has a premiere date of
October 5, 2018. I’m just going to
reiterate what I’ve said before: unless
this is going to be in the MCU and offer an opportunity for a crossover with
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, WHY?????
Here is the trailer for The Gifted. Looks
cool!
Krypton is coming in 2018.
So it turns out that Black
Lightning will not be in the Arrowverse. There’s also a synopsis included at the link,
so check it out if you are interested.
