Weekly MCU Review for Halloween!

Another week, and more MCU news!  There wasn't exactly a ton of new stuff this year, but we did get our first casting announcement for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.  Put some ketchup on your eggs, and catch-up (*ducks*) on your Marvel news!

My articles from the week

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3, Episode 5, "4,722 Hours" expectations and review.  Was this really the best episode to-date?

As a follow-up to AoS this week, here are my thoughts on all the Marvel astronauts I could find.

This week was my final article in the "All-New, All-Different Marvel and the MCU" series:  All the other heroes.  Is there anyone I didn't cover and should have?  Which of these characters to do think will appear in the MCU?

This week Ant-Man crossed the $500 million mark, thanks in no small part to a strong showing in China.  Ant-Man is not the seventh consecutive and ninth overall MCU film to make $500 million or more.  How high do you think it will finally go?

Our first casting announcement for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2:  Pom Klementieff in an unspecified role.  Who do you think she’s playing?  My money is on Moondragon (Drax’s presumed-dead daughter), though Deadline is suggesting that she will instead be playing Mantis.

The organization Magic Wheelchair designed an incredible Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.-inspired costume for a boy with spina bifida:  A Quinjet.  About the only thing that could make this story better is if he also got to appear in an upcoming Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode with that costume!

Here are a new motion poster and image for Jessica Jones.  Excited enough yet?

A new rumor suggests that [POSSIBLE SPOILER] could be appearing in Jessica Jones.  I say bring it on; half the fun is the fact that we have a whole bunch of shows taking place in the same neighborhood.

Could Marvel Netflix be planning to replace Iron Fist with Punisher?  I personally hope not.  However, I suppose if they are having trouble figuring out exactly where to go with the series, they could throw Punisher into the mix and then introduce Iron Fist in The Defenders as a friend of Luke’s who just so happens to be able to bankroll the team.

Anything not related to the MCU that I find interesting

Here are some rumored plot details on the Batman solo movie:  it will involve Jason Todd as the Red Hood and include appearances by Joker and Nightwing.  Excited?

Here is the Dropbox link to the unfilmed 14th episode of Constantine.  Disappointed it was canceled?

This father turned his son’s wheelchair into a snowspeeder for Halloween!  And these parents made their son with cerebral palsy a costume of Han Solo and the Millennium Falcoln!

Anyone interested in the Power Rangers movie?  Yes?  Okay, what if I were to tell you that it’s rumored to have a $35 million budget and be titled “Saban’s Power Rangers” to follow the Marvel/DC trend.  Still interested now?  To be completely honest, I’m not sure if you can make a convincing movie with giant robots for $35 million.
